For the love of Nature
Molto tempo fa, da bambina, ero al fianco di mio padre mentre lavorava. Di professione faceva il falegname, ma quando sono arrivata io era già in pensione a causa di una disabilità.
Mi piaceva guardarlo lavorare e, quando potevo, dargli una mano imparando a usare gli strumenti di cui aveva bisogno ed essendo lì a porgerglieli mentre lavorava.
Sono sempre stato affascinato da ciò che si può creare con le proprie mani.
Con un amore per la natura, per il legno, per il suo odore, per la bellezza che racchiude e per l'abilità donata da Dio a mio padre, circa 25 anni fa ho acquistato il mio primo utensile. Un seghetto alternativo di prima qualità. Quell'utensile è ancora nel mio negozio oggi, insieme a molti altri. Sono felice di ricevere utensili in regalo, come lo sono la maggior parte degli uomini. :)
Attualmente vivo vicino a una vasta area forestale e possiedo acri di terreno alberato. Ho accesso al bellissimo legno locale fornito dagli alberi caduti naturalmente dalla natura. Amo anche riutilizzare il legno di recupero e altri oggetti.
Spesso le cose che realizzo sono pezzi unici, alcuni dei quali posso riprodurre, a seconda della quantità di legno che ho a disposizione.
Lavoro nel mio negozio, nella mia proprietà, tra le splendide e tranquille montagne Ouachita e Ozark dell'Arkansas.
Spero che tu possa trarre lo stesso piacere che provo io dalle mie creazioni.

Long ago as a little girl, I stood by my father’s side as he worked. He was a carpenter by trade, but was retired by the time I came around do to a disability.
I loved watching him work, and helping out when I could by learning the tools he needed and being there to hand them to him while he worked.
I was always fascinated by what you could create with your own hands.
With a love of nature, and of wood, its smell, the beauty it beholds, and the God given ability of my father, about 25 years ago I purchased my first tool. A top of the line scroll saw. That tool is still in my shop today along with many many others. I am just as happy being given tools for gifts, as most men are. :)
Currently living near a vast forest area, and owning acres of treed land. I have access to beautiful local wood provided by nature’s naturally fallen trees. I also love to re-purpose reclaimed wood, and other objects.
Often things I make are one of a kind, some I can reproduce, depending on the amount of wood I have available.
I work in my shop on my property, in between the beautiful serene Ouachita and Ozark mountains of Arkansas.
