Club Backdrops es una creación de Matt y Tommy Gunn-Cullin, nacida de nuestras propias necesidades como fotógrafos al intentar mantener nuestra fotografía de producto interesante y actual. Descubrimos que transportar materiales y accesorios pesados para usarlos como fondos era simplemente inviable. Trabajar con papel y cartulina de colores resultaba frustrante, ya que se rasgaban, arrugaban o marcaban con mucha facilidad, y solo tenían un uso, lo que era un gran desperdicio. Descubrimos que el vinilo era una superficie ideal para la fotografía de producto portátil, y al no encontrar los estilos exactos que buscábamos, decidimos diseñar y crear los nuestros. Tras recibir innumerables solicitudes para desarrollar fondos fotográficos de mayor tamaño, invertimos en nuestro propio equipo de impresión de gran formato. En 2019, nuestro equipo creció más allá del dúo, lo que nos ayudó a llevar nuestro pequeño negocio al siguiente nivel. Hoy, nuestro pequeño pero poderoso equipo de seis personas trabaja exclusivamente desde nuestro taller, imprimiendo, cortando y enviando nuestros fondos únicos a todo el mundo durante todo el año.
Nuestros fondos de vinilo vienen en dos tamaños: 60 x 90 cm (un poco más grande que A1) y 90 x 120 cm (un poco más grande que A0), tamaños perfectos para fotografía de productos y alimentos. Son una réplica 1:1 de alta resolución y colores precisos de la textura original, por lo que frente a la lente se ven exactamente como el objeto real. Los imprimimos en un vinilo duradero de 415 g/m², flexible con un acabado mate para minimizar los reflejos, además de ser impermeable y fácil de limpiar, ideal para sesiones de fotos de alimentos. Úselos para tomas de objetos planos o colóquelos en posición vertical como fondo y cree escenas de bodegones evocadoras con varios fondos. Los entregamos enrollados, cuidadosamente envueltos en papel de seda y empaquetados en tubos de cartón resistentes para un envío económico.

Club Backdrops is the creation of Matt & Tommy Gunn-Cullin, born from our own needs as photographers when trying to keep our own product photography interesting and current. We found that lugging around heavy materials and props for use as backgrounds was simply not convenient. Working with colored paper and card proved frustrating as it would tear, crease or mark so easily, having only a single use which was incredibly wasteful. We discovered vinyl was an ideal surface for portable product photography, and when we couldn't find the exact styles we wanted, we decided to design and create our own. After receiving endless requests to develop larger photography backgrounds, we invested in our own large format printing equipment. In 2019 our team grew beyond the duo, helping take our little business to the next level. Today our tiny-yet-mighty team of six operates exclusively from our workshop - printing, cutting and posting our unique backdrops around the world, throughout the year.
Our vinyl backdrops come in two sizes: 2 x 3 ft / 60 x 90cm (just larger than A1) and 3 x 4ft / 90 x 120cm (just larger than A0), perfect sizes for product photography and food photography. They're a color-accurate, high-resolution 1:1 replica of the original texture - so in front of the lens they appear just like the real thing. We print them on a durable 415gsm vinyl, which is flexible with a matte finish to minimize glare, as well as waterproof & easy to wipe clean - ideal for food shoots. Use them for flat lay shots, or fix them upright as a vertical backdrop and create evocative still-life scenes using multiple backdrops. We deliver them rolled up, carefully wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in sturdy cardboard tri-tubes for economical shipping.
