Mia madre mi ha insegnato a lavorare all'uncinetto quando avevo 8 anni, usando ganci e filati trovati mentre pulivo la casa della mia bisnonna. Non l'ho ripreso fino al college, quando ho imparato che un gancio e un gomitolo di filato erano il de-stressante perfetto per me. Io e il mio compagno di stanza saremmo usciti dalla settimana delle finali con bellissime coperte nuove!
Faccio ancora coperte oggi, ora principalmente per amici e familiari per commemorare un evento. Ora preferisco realizzare prodotti che verranno utilizzati dalle persone ogni giorno - nella loro cucina, bagno o semplicemente in casa. Mi piace l'idea che l'uncinetto possa aiutarti a vivere un po 'più ecologico in casa. L'uncinetto può essere funzionale e bello come un bellissimo mestiere, e la mia missione è creare prodotti semplici e luminosi che possano essere utilizzati più e più volte.
My mother taught me to crochet when I was 8, using hooks and yarn found while cleaning out my great-grandmother's house. I didn't really pick it up again until college, when I learned that a hook and a ball of yarn were the perfect de-stressor for me. My roommate and I would emerge from finals week with beautiful new blankets!
I still make blankets today, now mostly for friends and family to commemorate an event. Now I prefer to make products that will be used by people everyday - in their kitchen, bathroom, or just around the house. I like the idea that crochet can help you to live a bit more eco-friendly around the home. Crochet can be functional and well as a beautiful craft, and my mission is to create simple, bright products that can be used over and over again.
