Es decir, vendí bienes raíces durante años. Era muy estresante, 24/7. Un trabajo en el que nunca sabías si ibas a cerrar la venta o no. Literalmente me absorbía la vida. Cuando me jubilé este año, no tenía ni idea de qué quería hacer: soy una abuela de 63 años, ¿quién me va a contratar? Tuve la loca idea de hacer un libro para colorear para mis nietas. No tenía ni idea de por dónde empezar. Entré en ChatGPT y empecé a hacer preguntas. Vi videos de otras personas haciendo libros. Empecé con Carousel Horses (ya que soy amante de los caballos) y perfeccioné el arte hasta convertirlo en uno que me pareció hermoso y me volví loca. En una semana tenía 30 ilustraciones. Vi más videos y descargué Canva para unirlo todo. ¡Me encantó el proceso! Fue extremadamente satisfactorio tener el producto terminado y enseguida comencé el siguiente libro, Be Inspired. Con cada libro pensaba: ¿qué quiero que coloreen mis hijas? ¿Qué quiero que saquen de cada libro? No solo para divertirme, sino también para aprender, así que empecé Mythical Creatures y empecé a añadir una breve descripción a cada ilustración. Unos meses después, ya había creado nueve libros y también comencé a traducir los que tenían descripción a diferentes idiomas: español, chino, hindi. Y habrá más. Me encanta el proceso creativo ahora que he aprendido, refinado, reimaginado y reinterpretado todo hasta el punto de sentirme muy cómodo con él. Luego vino la idea de "Bueno, tengo estos libros, vamos a venderlos donde sea posible". Así que Etsy, Amazon, Lulu... creé una página web y entré en cualquier portal que encontré. Felicito a quienes hayan llegado hasta aquí y espero que echen un vistazo a algunas de mis creaciones y quizás le hagan un regalo a alguien que ame el arte y colorear. Lo curioso es que acabo de empezar a colorearlos yo misma para tener algunos productos terminados en Etsy, ¡y vaya! Me encanta colorearlos. No he coloreado un libro para colorear en más de 30 años y, la verdad, es una manera genial de relajarse y conectar con la creatividad que todos tenemos. No importa cómo colorees. Simplemente hazlo y disfruta del proceso. Con mucho cariño para todos. Marci.

When I retired this year, I had no idea what I wanted to do- I'm a 63 year old grandmother, who's going to hire me? I had a crazy idea to make a coloring book for my granddaughters. I had no idea where to start. I hopped on ChatGPT and started asking questions. I watched videos of other people making books. I started with Carousel Horses (since I am a horse lover) and refined the art to one I thought was beautiful and went crazy. within a week I had 30 illustrations. watched more videos and downloaded Canva to put it all together. I loved the process! it was extremely satisfying to have the finished product and I promptly began the next book, Be Inspired. Each book I thought to myself, what would I want my girls to color? what do I want them to get out of each book? not only to have fun, but to also learn so I began Mythical Creatures and started adding a little description for each illustration. Fast Forward a few months and I had created 9 books, and began also translating the ones with discription to different languages- Spanish.Chinese. Hindi. There will be more. I thoroughly love the creative process now that I've learned/refined/re-imaged/re-everything to the point where I'm very comfortable with the process. Then came the "well I have these books, lets sell them wherever possible so Etsy,Amazon,Lulu, created a website, I went on any portal I could find. Who's ever gotten this far I congratulate you, and hope you will take a peek at some of my creations and perhaps make a gift to someone who loves art and coloring in your life. Funny thing, I just started actually coloring them myself to have some finished products on Etsy and wow! I love coloring them. I haven't colored a coloring book in over 30 years and really, it's a GREAT way to relax and connect with the creative bone we all have. it doesn't matter HOW you color.
