Custom made vintage sewing patterns
Tudo começou comigo fazendo minhas próprias roupas de acordo com meus próprios gostos particulares. Desde que eu era muito jovem, eu nunca concordei que todos nós deveríamos seguir algumas regras pré-determinadas da moda – isso apesar de ter crescido em uma família que administrava uma loja de roupas! Por que eu deveria usar o que outra pessoa dita que está "dentro" este ano? Ano após ano, há novas cores e formas para acompanhar.
Claro, isso não significa que eu não goste de moda. Eu gosto especialmente de roupas dos anos 1900, 1920 e 1960, e há muitos designers de roupas trabalhando hoje que eu admiro. Mas o que eu queria era algo que refletisse a mim mesmo, minha personalidade e os diferentes períodos da minha vida.
Então, com a ajuda da minha tia e da minha avó, ambas costureiras fantásticas, comecei a costurar minhas próprias roupas. Ao mesmo tempo, eu estava experimentando em diferentes áreas da arte: ilustração, litografia e serigrafia, e mais tarde eu me formaria em padronização. Isso se tornou minha paixão. Eu absolutamente amo fazer padrões e entrar em cada projeto como um artista criando uma escultura. Sou modeladora há 20 anos, dando aulas e outras artes relacionadas a roupas, como serigrafia.
Com esta loja, espero me conectar com pessoas que pensam da mesma forma: aquelas que gostam de se vestir de sua própria maneira única, que gostam de costurar e gostariam de encontrar esse padrão especial ou criar qualquer design que sua imaginação possa criar.

O processo de criação de padrões
Primeiro, eu esboço o padrão de base, criando a forma geral do corpo. Em seguida, cortei papel extra e anexei para criar os detalhes e volumes da roupa. Em seguida, dou forma ao padrão plano para criar metade da roupa (como as roupas são normalmente simétricas, apenas metade é necessária). E, finalmente, produzo um calado limpo com peças planas destacáveis.
Todos os meus padrões são artesanais, com cada um levando de 3 a 6 horas para ser produzido, dependendo dos detalhes de design da roupa.
Quando o padrão estiver terminado, e antes de enviá-lo para você, faço uma réplica em miniatura do padrão com peças planas destacáveis que mostram como colocar o padrão no tecido.
E, finalmente, imprimo um esboço do design acabado, incluo-o em seu envelope e levo-o para a estação de correios!
Minha política de reembolso é:
Eu sempre reembolso metade do preço imediatamente se o cliente não quiser mais o padrão, e eu reembolso a outra metade quando recebo uma carta do serviço postal confirmando que o envelope foi perdido ou que será devolvido e o caso é resolvido. Isso é para projetos de padrões que eu tenho na minha loja.
Para pedidos que são padrões de design personalizados, posso dar-lhe um reembolso por um design personalizado se você não estiver satisfeito com o padrão. No entanto, se o padrão não chegar, nossas opções são mais limitadas, pois considero os atrasos de envio de responsabilidade da empresa de transporte.
Vou apresentar uma reclamação que ajudará a agilizar a entrega. Se, no final, eu receber uma confirmação de que o envelope foi perdido no correio, eu lhe darei um reembolso total.
It all started with me making my own clothing according to my own particular tastes. Ever since I was very young, I’ve never agreed that we should all follow some pre-determined rules of fashion – this despite having grown up in a family that ran a clothing shop! Why should I wear what someone else dictates is “in” this year? Year in and year out, there are new colors and shapes to keep up with.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that I dislike fashion. I especially like clothing from the 1900s, 1920s, and 1960s, and there are many clothing designers working today that I admire. But what I wanted was something that would reflect myself, my personality, and the different periods in my life.
So with the help of my aunt and my grandmother, both fantastic seamstresses, I started sewing my own clothes. At the same time, I was experimenting in different areas of art: illustration, lithography, and silk screening, and later on I would get a degree in patternmaking. This has become my passion. I absolutely love making patterns and jump into each project like an artist creating a sculpture. I’ve been a patternmaker for 20 years now, also giving classes in it and other clothing-related arts such as silk-screening
With this shop, I hope to connect with like-minded people: those who like to dress in their own unique way, who like to sew, and would like to find that special pattern or create whatever design their imaginations can come up with.

The pattern-making process
First, I sketch the base pattern, creating the general shape of the body. Then, I cut extra paper and attach it to create the details and volumes of the garment. I then give form to the flat pattern to create half of the garment (as garments are normally symmetrical, only half is needed). And finally, I produce a clean draft with detachable flat pieces.
All my patterns are handcrafted, with each one taking 3-6 hours to produce, depending on the design details of the garment.
When the pattern is finished, and before sending it to you, I make a miniature replica of the pattern with detachable flat pieces that show you how to place the pattern on the fabric.
And finally, I print out a sketch of the finished design, include it in your envelope, and whisk it off to the post office!
My refund policy is:
I always refund half of the price immediately if the client no longer wants the pattern, and I refund the other half when I receive a letter from the postal service confirming either that the envelope has been lost or that it will be returned and the case is solved. This is for pattern designs that I have in my shop.
For orders that are custom design patterns, I can give you a refund for a custom design if you are not satisfied with the pattern. However, if the pattern doesn't arrive, our options are more limited as I consider shipping delays to be the responsibility of the shipping company.
I will file a claim which will help to expedite the delivery. If, in the end, I receive a confirmation that the envelope has been lost in the post, I will give you a full refund.
