I’ve never been good at sticking to just one craft.
I do upholstery and furniture refinishing locally, and I also do Balloon art and entertainment in the greater Charlotte NC area.
I also do all things sewing: dress alterations, embroidery, and more. I weave baskets out of pine needles, and I crochet.
Beyond these I am fascinated by chemistry. Not like beakers in a lab (though that too) but why some bread has a great crispy crust while others are limp. Why does used fryer oil brown better than new oil?
And this fascination for chemistry has led me down the road to making my own high end soaps, and down deeper rabbit holes of lotions, conditioners, balms, and body butters.
And all of this, the soaps, sewing, balloons, basket weaving, and more I was happily doing in my free time for free. My wife, who wants to pay off our credit card debt and save up for a down payment on a house, thinks my plethora of skills should be monetized. As such you can buy my goods on Etsy.
