The Ring Keeper was born out of a personal need.
Dhérèse es una mezcla de mi primer nombre (Dawn) y mi segundo nombre (Thérèse) después de mi difunta Nana.
El Guardián del Anillo nació de una necesidad personal. Mis padres me regalaron un anillo cuando me gradué de la Universidad en 2006. Significó mucho para mí. Sin embargo, siendo la persona activa que soy, rápidamente me di cuenta de que a menudo me quitaba el anillo para ir al gimnasio, jugar una ronda de golf, jugar voleibol o simplemente mientras nadaba en el lago.
Esconder mi anillo en mi bolsillo, mi billetera u otros lugares aleatorios para mantenerlo seguro nunca se sintió lo suficientemente seguro. A menudo, me preocupaba que pudiera perderlo o rascarlo y pensaba para mí mismo ... "¿Por qué no hay un pequeño caso en el que pueda poner mis anillos que los mantenga seguros cuando necesito quitármelos temporalmente?" Fue entonces cuando me vino a la mente mi visión de The Ring Keeper.
A medida que pasaban los años, a menudo pensaba en el Guardián del Anillo; sin embargo, nunca tuve el coraje de hacer algo al respecto o correr el riesgo. ¡En 2018, todo cambió! Mi mejor amiga perdió su alianza de bodas que colocó en su estuche de gafas de sol mientras jugaba voleibol de playa; mi cuñada mencionó que sigue dejando sus anillos en casa de sus padres después de quitárselos al lavar los platos; y luego noté que mi hermano, que es bombero, estaba poniendo su anillo en un mosquetón en su llavero cuando fue a trabajar. ¡Todas estas eran señales de que necesitaba hacer algo con mi idea!
En el otoño de 2019, comencé el proceso de diseño y creación de prototipos de The Ring Keeper. Era importante para mí que fuera elegante, compacto y asequible. Un artículo que felizmente mostraría en su llavero o guardaría de forma segura en una bolsa. ¡En noviembre de 2020 vendí mi primer Ring Keeper! ¡Estoy muy emocionado de compartir mi invento con todos ustedes y espero que lo encuentren tan útil como yo!
Dhérèse is a mash up of my first name (Dawn) and my middle name (Thérèse) after my late Nana.
The Ring Keeper was born out of a personal need. My parents gave me a ring when I graduated from University in 2006. It meant so much to me. However, being the active person I am, I quickly realized that I was often removing my ring to go to the gym, play a round of golf, play volleyball or just while swimming at the lake.
Stashing my ring in my pocket, my wallet, or other random locations to keep it safe never felt safe enough. Often, I was worried that I might lose it or scratch it and would think to myself… “why isn’t there a small case that I can put my rings in that keep them safe when I need to take them off temporarily?” That is when my vision of The Ring Keeper came to mind.
As the years went on, I often thought about the Ring Keeper; however, I never had the courage to do something about it or take the risk. In 2018, everything changed! My best friend lost her wedding band that she placed in her sunglass case while playing beach volleyball; my sister-in-law mentioned that she keeps leaving her rings at her parents’ house after removing them when doing the dishes; and then I noticed that my brother, who is a firefighter, was putting his ring on a carabiner on his key chain when he went to work. These were all signs that I needed to do something with my idea!
In the Fall of 2019, I began the process of designing and prototyping The Ring Keeper. It was important to me that it was classy, compact and affordable. An item you would happily show off on your key chain or keep safely stored in a bag. In November 2020 I sold my first Ring Keeper! I am very excited to be sharing my invention with all of you and I hope you find it as useful as I do!
