FIT necesita la colaboración de todos.
FIT Takes a Village
Y aún me encanta.
I started teaching fitness at 19 because I needed a gym credit in college. Fitness Instructor Training sounded interesting, and I figured if I worked at a gym, I’d have a pretty good excuse to stay in shape. Turns out, that random decision stuck.
Twenty-three years later, I’m still teaching.
Along the way, I became a middle school teacher, a mom of four, collected more fitness certifications than I care to count, taught through four pregnancies (until my belly literally hit the floor in a plank), and planned hundreds and hundreds of classes.
And I still love it.
But here’s the thing: planning a really good class takes time. A LOT of time. And most instructors are doing this job in the margins of already-full lives.
That’s why I created FIT Village Library.
These are practical, thoughtfully designed class plans and instructor resources built by someone who actually teaches them. I care about functional movement, smart programming, full ranges of motion, strength that translates to real life, and fitness that keeps our bodies working well for the long haul.
No fads. No unnecessarily complicated exercises just to make an Instagram reel look interesting. Just really good classes that make sense.
My hope is that this little library gives other instructors a place to come when they need some inspiration, a fresh class plan, or simply one less thing to think about that week.
Because after 20+ years, I still believe that FIT Takes a Village.
