Chimera of sciences and art
I am a chimera of sciences and art. I am a geneticist with a career focus in biomedical research. In addition to biology I also studied geology at university giving me a life long appreciation of natural gems and rocks. So I am steeped in the sciences. However, throughout my career I have found outlets for my artistic side, initially through landscape photography and selling at craft fairs and now jewelry (where my long ago studied geology is once again inspiring me).
I have been fortunate to have travelled the world broadly, in part because of my research, facilitating a deeper understanding of many cultures.
Artistic expression is a diverse yet common language across the world that I have had the good fortune to experience and appreciate in many countries. It is this diverse appreciation that I hope to convey in my shop. I delight in finding interesting pieces around the globe and creating jewelry for you to enjoy for yourself or to give as gifts.

Customer satisfaction is very important. I am always eager to answer questions or concerns before you purchase and to send additional photos or information upon request.
ALTERATIONS. If you want a piece that is currently listed changed, please feel free to contact me before you purchase and I'll let you know if it can be done. Please note that you may be asked to pay a slightly increased fee for changes to an existing piece that you request altered in some way. If so I will discuss this with you before I make the change.
RETURNS -
Under the heading Returns under policies - ETSY writes the phrase and I cannot edit to add specifics. This section is in addition to the Etsy written policies and is as applicable. So yes I will accept returns IF the item is damaged.
However, I cannot except returns if the reason is that you simply changed your mind after receiving the item. The photos are part of the description - please read the description and look at the pictures. Thank you. If, when you receive it, the product is defective in anyway please contact me within 3 days.
I am happy to work with you should an item arrive damaged for some reason (although that would be unlikely). Having been burnt by a scam buyer I now take pictures of all items in their packing boxes just prior to sealing.
Most of all communicate with me. Good communication is the only way to solve issues and concerns before they become problems. :)
