Mi nombre es Lauren Hope y soy propietaria, diseñadora y artesana de Hope Design Ltd. Hago a mano joyas y accesorios militares para honrar a los miembros del servicio de nuestro país. La historia de fondo
Hope Design Ltd. se desarrolló para abordar una de las dificultades de la vida militar.
Es difícil para un cónyuge militar encontrar un empleo significativo. Durante los últimos 17 años, hemos vivido en 11 casas diferentes. Y, con dos hijos pequeños, las opciones eran aún menores.
Siempre me ha inspirado la carrera de mi esposo y su pasión por la historia militar, y las insignias y los diseños de las fuerzas armadas siempre me han fascinado.
Así que miré lo que me encantaba hacer, lo que quería hacer y lo que podía hacer y creé una empresa en la que podía 'crear de noche mientras los pequeños duermen'.
Lanzamos en 2013, solo unas semanas después de que naciera mi hijo menor. (Sí, debo haber estado loco). A veces lo miro y reflexiono sobre cómo él y el negocio nacieron al mismo tiempo. ¡Dios mío, cómo han crecido! Lo que comenzó como un pasatiempo se ha convertido en una tienda de Etsy y ahora en una marca.
A través de mudanzas y la crianza de mis hijos, esta carrera portátil me ha brindado alegría, amistad y satisfacción.
Hoy
Actualmente trabajo desde mi estudio en casa, sin importar a dónde nos envíe el ejército. Sigo siendo una verdadera pequeña empresa. Diseño y creo todas las joyas, completo los pedidos y respondo los correos electrónicos. Diseño la tienda en línea, mantengo una variedad de licencias de marcas registradas y me ocupo del marketing.

Lauren Hope is the owner, designer and artisan behind Hope Design, Ltd ®. A military spouse herself, she carefully hand crafts unique military jewelry and accessories to honor our country’s service veterans and heroes. In addition to being available here, Lauren’s creations are available in selected military spouse mission-driven gift shops.
The Story of Hope Design Ltd.
My name is Lauren Hope and I’m the owner, designer, and artisan of Hope Design Ltd. I hand craft military jewelry and accessories to honor our country’s service members. I am also the wife of a soldier and the mother of two little boys. I am proud to support my husband in his military career and have found that creating jewelry provides an oasis of sanity in our unpredictable military life!
The Back Story
Hope Design Ltd. was developed to address one of the difficulties of military life.
It’s hard for a military spouse to find meaningful employment. Over the past 17 years, we’ve lived in 11 different homes. And, with two young sons, the options were even fewer.
I have always been inspired by my husband’s career and his passion for military history, and the insignia and designs of the military have always fascinated me.
So I looked at what I loved to do, what I wanted to do and what I could do and created a company where I could 'create by night while the little ones sleep.'
We launched in 2013, just weeks after my youngest son was born. (Yes, I must have been crazy). Sometimes I look at him and reflect on how he, and the business, were born at the same time. My, how they’ve grown! What started as a hobby has grown to an Etsy store, and now into a brand.
Through moves and raising children, this portable career has brought me joy, friendship and fulfillment.
Today
I currently work from my in-home studio, no matter where the military sends us. I continue to be a true small business. I design and create all of the jewelry, fill the orders, and answer the emails. I design the online store, maintain a variety of trademark licenses, and take care of the marketing.

A Rewarding Enterprise
Each piece is much more than jewelry. The emotional significance it holds for veterans and their families turns it into something much more. As a result, our customers are more like family than customers.
Their overwhelming support has landed Hope Design Ltd. on the pages of Military Spouse magazine, Legacy magazine, and the popular blog Humans on the Homefront.
Can you imagine my excitement when I learned that the First Lady and Second Lady of the United States are proud owners of my work? Or, that the XVIII Airborne Corps selected my jewelry as the official protocol gift for their V.I.P. guests?
This journey started as a jewelry hobby, but has become so much more. I have enjoyed connecting with military spouses and veterans as a mentor for Hiring our Heroes. I’ve had the opportunity to make motivational speeches at the AFI Military Spouse of the Year conference in Washington, DC and at MilspoCon by The Milspo Project in Wilmington, NC.
It’s exciting to think of what tomorrow will bring.
