Ho iniziato il mio negozio Etsy per un capriccio. Quando sono andato in pensione, ho iniziato a dipingere per divertimento, e si è trasformato in una passione! Probabilmente lavoro di più divertendomi con la vernice di quanto non abbia mai fatto nella mia professione! Dipingere tanto quanto me significa che compro sempre vernici e tele, quindi aiuta quando vendo un dipinto o due. Fortunatamente per me, però... Non devo dipingere per i soldi! Ancora... a volte semplicemente non so cosa dipingere! Sono così felice quando un amico pubblica una foto su Facebook che chiede di essere dipinta, per esempio. Se vedo una bella scena, ci sono SOPRA!
Quando dipingo un luogo, o un animale domestico, o anche una casa o un luogo speciale che è significativo per qualcun altro, metto il mio cuore e la mia anima in ogni tratto del pennello, cercando di infondere un po 'di amore in ogni dipinto. Anche se non sono mai stato sul posto o ho incontrato l'animale domestico, li conosco attraverso la pittura.

I started my Etsy shop on a whim. When I retired, I started painting for fun, and it has turned into a passion! I probably work harder having fun with paint than I ever did in my profession! Painting as much as I do means that I'm always buying paints and canvas, so it helps when I sell a painting or two. Lucky for me, though...I don't have to paint for the money! Still...sometimes I just don't know what to paint! I'm so happy when a friend posts a photo on Facebook that begs to be painted, for example. If I see a beautiful scene, I'm ON it!
When I paint a place, or a pet, or even a home or special place that is meaningful to somebody else, I put my heart and soul into every stroke of the brush, trying to instill a bit of love into each painting. Even if I have never been to the place or met the pet, I get to know them through painting.
