Perché il nome McFly Designs? Onestamente, è solo una frase divertente da dire.
Why the name McFly Designs? Honestly, it’s just a fun phrase to say.
Mi chiamo Kari Jackson. Sono nata e cresciuta ad Atlanta, ma da sei anni vivo a San Diego. Da bambina mi dilettavo a disegnare e fare schizzi, ma non ci ho mai pensato o fatto molto perché non vedevo nulla di utile in quel campo. Al massimo era solo un hobby di poco conto.
Tutto questo sarebbe cambiato nel 2018. Stavo lavorando a una potenziale iniziativa imprenditoriale che richiedeva molto materiale di grafica. Non avendo i soldi per esternalizzare il progetto a un professionista, ho seguito il consiglio di un amico che mi ha suggerito di acquistare un software di grafica e di creare il materiale da solo. Dopo settimane di tentativi ed errori (troppi tutorial su YouTube per ricordarli), avevo tutti i miei progetti pronti e pronti per essere pubblicati. La soddisfazione di incanalare i miei pensieri in opere d'arte visive era qualcosa che non avevo mai provato prima. L'esperienza mi ha convinto a sviluppare finalmente questo aspetto artistico che avevo trascurato per così tanto tempo.
Avrei trascorso i successivi 5 anni ad affinare e perfezionare le mie capacità, comprendendo diversi stili artistici nella speranza di trovare il mio. E da qui, ho preso la decisione di lanciare McFly Designs.
Con McFly Designs (vedete, non è divertente dirlo?), mi concentro sulla produzione di accessori e abbigliamento sportivo colorati, come le mie fasce antisudore a doppio strato di alta qualità. Il fitness è sempre stato una mia passione e il connubio tra questo e la grafica era inevitabile. Se sei una persona che si sente viva ogni volta che fa jogging, che spinge fino all'ultima ripetizione, che esegue la sequenza perfetta di Zumba o che finalmente padroneggia la sua posizione yoga preferita, allora lascia che i miei articoli e abbigliamento sportivo di alta qualità siano i tuoi compagni e ti offrano quel supporto extra.
Esamino tutto il mio abbigliamento sportivo e athleisure per assicurarmi che ciò che ho creato davanti al computer corrisponda a ciò che riceverete tra le mani. Progettare arte è stato e sarà sempre terapeutico per me e il mio obiettivo è trasmettere lo stesso tipo di gioia quando riceverete in regalo il vostro capo sportivo di alta qualità.

My name is Kari Jackson. I was born & raised in Atlanta but have called San Diego my home for the past 6 years. Growing up I would dabble in drawing & sketching but never put much thought or effort because I just couldn’t see it leading to anything worthwhile. At best it was just a minor hobby.
This would change in 2018. I was working on a potential business venture that required lots of graphic design material. Not having the money to outsource this to a professional, I took the advice of a buddy who suggested that I just buy graphic software and create the material myself. After weeks of trial and error (any too many youtube tutorials to recall), I got all of my designs prepped and ready to go. The satisfaction of channeling my thoughts into visuals pieces of art was something I never experienced before. The experience convinced me to finally develop this artistic aspect that I neglected for so long.
I would spend the next 5+ years honing and refining my abilities, understanding different artistic styles in the hopes of finding mine. And from this, I made the decision to launch McFly Designs.
With McFly Designs (see, isn’t it fun to say?), I focus on producing colorful activewear accesories and clothing, such as my premium double layered sweat proof headbands. Fitness has always been a love for me and the marriage between it and graphic design was inevitable. If you are someone who feels alive every time they go on a jog, pushes through that last rep, nails the perfect sequence of Zumba moves, or finally masters their favorite yoga pose, than let my premium activewear items and apparel be your partner and give you that extra support.
I examine all of my activewear and athleisure apparel to insure that what I crafted in front of my computer matches what you receive in your hands. Designing art has and will always be therapeutic for me and my goal is to deliver that same type of bliss when you receive your premium activewear gift.
