Retirement, a Nudge and a Leap of Faith
I’ve always loved crafting, designing, and creating things that bring a little happiness to others. I even toyed with having a business someday where I could share my creativity and the things I love to make, but life had other plans. As a Math and Computer Science teacher for 40 years, I loved what I did, but work, family, and everyday life kept me busy. I didn’t have much time to make use of the creative, other side of my brain, so my little business dream stayed tucked away in the back of my mind. Then Covid hit and with it, retirement—and suddenly, I had something I had never had before: time.
The funny thing is, I didn’t plan to start this journey right away. It all started 6 years later when my sister mentioned that she was selling her handmade cards, and suddenly the light went on “I can do that too!”. So I took a leap of faith—a BIG leap—and here I am!
Today, I get to spend my days creating, designing, exploring new ideas, and turning inspiration into things that I hope will make someone else smile. It might be a funny or heartfelt t-shirt, a cheerful mug, a greeting card for someone special, or some completely new product that I suddenly get inspired to try.
What started as a dream I never had enough time for has become a part of my everyday life. Retirement gave me the time, my sister gave me the nudge, and a whole lot of faith gave me the courage to begin, and with the Lord's help I'll be able to make it happen!
Thank you for being here and for supporting my dream. Every visit, purchase, and kind word means more to me than you know. I’m just thrilled they make you happy!
