Ei! Meu nome é Retha. Sempre fui uma criança naturalmente criativa e ao longo dos anos continuou a ser a forma como me consigo expressar. Especialmente naqueles dias longos e difíceis, entre trabalhar em tempo integral, ser esposa e mãe de meninas gêmeas. É extremamente importante, não, vital, para minha saúde mental poder fazer coisas com as mãos e ter a mente tranquila. Mas, mais importante ainda, ter algo que seja meu.
Comecei este negócio com a esperança de poder compartilhar meu artesanato e meu amor por todas as coisas relacionadas a livros com pessoas que pensam como eu. A leitura veio de forma tão fluida para mim, e cresci amando a leitura, mas não pensei que pudesse ser uma forma de paixão. Eu apenas pensei, "todo mundo lê". Agora, olhando para trás, a leitura me permitiu o escapismo de que precisava em momentos muito difíceis da minha vida. Este é o caso de muitas outras pessoas também. Decidi casar com meus dois amores naturais e assim a RethaMDesigns foi colocada em ação.
Minha missão é criar artesanatos únicos, autênticos e bem feitos para que todos possam desfrutar, especialmente meus colegas amantes de livros.
Eu realmente desejo que meu artesanato traga alegria para suas vidas tanto quanto traz para a minha.

Hey there! My name is Retha. I have always been a naturally creative child and through the years it has continued to be the way that I can express myself. Especially on those long hard days, between working full-time, being a wife, and a mother to twin toddler girls. It is extremely important, no, vital, to my mental health to be able to craft things with my hands and to have a quiet mind. But, more importantly, to have something that is my own.
I started this business with the hope of being able to share my handmade crafts and my love of all things book related with like-minded humans. Reading came so fluidly to me, and I grew up loving reading but didn't think it could be a form of passion. I just figured, "everyone reads". Now looking back, reading has allowed me the escapism I needed at very difficult times in my life. This being the case for many other people as well. I decided to marry my two natural loves and so RethaMDesigns was put into motion.
My mission is to create unique, authentic, and well-made crafts for anyone to enjoy and especially my fellow book lovers.
I truly wish my crafts will bring joy into your lives as much as they do mine.
