Tutto ebbe inizio nella piccola officina di mio nonno. Ricordo l'odore della segatura e il ticchettio costante e ritmico del vecchio orologio a pendolo appeso al muro. Per lui, un orologio non era solo uno strumento per misurare il tempo; era il battito del cuore di una casa. Diceva sempre: "Ron, noi non misuriamo solo le ore; inquadriamo i momenti che accadono tra di esse".
Quel ricordo mi è rimasto impresso. Anni dopo, ho capito che nel nostro mondo frenetico abbiamo perso il contatto con il tempo. Controlliamo i nostri telefoni, corriamo, ci dimentichiamo di alzare lo sguardo. Ho iniziato a creare orologi da parete perché volevo realizzare qualcosa che facesse fermare le persone, anche solo per un secondo, e che le facesse apprezzare lo spazio in cui vivono.
Ogni pezzo che creo nel mio studio è una fusione tra quell'anima d'altri tempi e il design moderno. Quando lavoro a un orologio, penso a dove verrà appeso: sopra un tavolo da pranzo dove una famiglia condivide un pasto, nella cameretta di un bambino che cresce, o in un tranquillo ufficio dove nascono grandi sogni.
Mi chiamo Oren e non vendo solo orologi. Creo opere d'arte funzionali, progettate per trasformare una casa in un vero e proprio focolare domestico, un istante alla volta.

It all started in my grandfather’s small workshop. I remember the smell of sawdust and the steady, rhythmic tick-tock of the old pendulum clock on the wall. To him, a clock wasn’t just a tool to tell time; it was the heartbeat of a home. He used to say, "Ron, we don’t just measure hours; we frame the moments that happen between them."
That memory stayed with me. Years later, I realized that in our fast-paced world, we’ve lost our connection to time. We check our phones, we rush, we forget to look up. I started crafting wall clocks because I wanted to create something that makes people stop—even if just for a second—and appreciate the space they live in.
Every piece I create in my studio is a blend of that old-world soul and modern design. When I’m working on a clock, I’m thinking about where it will hang: over a dinner table where a family shares a meal, in a nursery watching a child grow, or in a quiet office where big dreams are born.
