Eu sou Maani Devi.
Então tudo começou quando uma amiga da minha amiga Dariya Devi veio até mim um dia e disse que eu tenho pouca dificuldade em manter meu sustento neste confinamento. Ela vem à nossa casa para fins de limpeza e também faz isso no nosso bairro.
Dei-lhe o dinheiro que podia pagar, mas estava pensando que se de alguma forma encontrar uma maneira de gerar emprego para Dariya e mais mulheres como ela, elas serão independentes e será uma solução permanente.
Com isso em mente quando perguntei a todas as senhoras se elas podem fazer trabalhos de artesanato regional. Disseram que todos aprenderam na família.
Eu, por outro lado, também era como eles que aprenderam a desenhar artesanato da minha mãe.
A partir daqui começou. Com um investimento mínimo iniciei o pequeno negócio do nosso trabalho de artesanato regional como Kantha, Banjara e Kachi. Começamos a entregá-lo em nossa área local.
Um dia meu filho (ela está falando de mim) me contou sobre essa plataforma Etsy. Eu disse que tudo bem. Nós vamos conseguir. Eu não sei como usar o computador então você faz todo o trabalho de computador e tudo mais.
Desde que está acontecendo. Estamos felizes em trabalhar de forma independente.
Estamos crescendo devagar, mas estamos felizes. :)

I am Maani Devi.
So it all started when one of my friend Dariya Devi came to me one day and she said that I am little trouble maintaining my livelihood in this lockdown. She comes to our home for cleaning purposes and she also do it in our neighborhood.
I gave her the money that I could afford but I was thinking that If I somehow find a way to generate employment for Dariya and more ladies like her, they will be independent and it will be a permanent solution.
With this in mind when I asked all the ladies if they can do regional handicraft work. They said they all learned it in their family.
I on the other hand was also like them who learned to design handicraft from my mother.
From here it started. With a minimum investment I started the small business of our regional handicraft work like Kantha, Banjara and Kachi. We started delivering it in our local area.
One day my son (she is talking about me) told me about this platform Etsy. I said okay. We will make it. I don't know how to use computer so you do all computer work and all.
Since than it is going on. We are happy to work independently.
We are growing slow but we are happy. :)
