Ei pessoal, meu nome é Shawn Moran e eu sou um fotógrafo da área de Boston! Desde que me lembro, amei tirar fotos. Enquanto crescia, adorava usar aquelas câmeras descartáveis que você compraria na farmácia, e mesmo que a qualidade da imagem fosse bem terrível, ainda era muito divertida!
Alguns anos atrás me mudei para Boston, onde fiz faculdade na Universidade de Massachusetts Boston. Poder viver na cidade e explorar sua beleza no meu lazer realmente é o que me inspirou a levar minha fotografia da câmera do meu celular para uma câmera DSLR.
Adoro poder capturar uma cena que literalmente nunca mais acontecerá. Pense nisso. Toda vez que você tira uma foto a imagem que você captura em sua câmera nunca pode ser recriada. Seja um carro dirigindo por uma estrada ou algo tão simples como um certo padrão de nuvens, aquela foto que você acabou de tirar, aquela cena que você acabou de capturar é sua para sempre, ela pertence a você.
Então por que imprimir fotos? Bem, impressões de papel são diferentes de apenas uma imagem em uma tela. Você faz isso porque ama como parece, ou porque te lembra de um lugar que tem um certo significado para você. Há apenas uma sensação diferente de uma foto impressa em papel do que a de uma foto em uma tela que você provavelmente vai passar sem realmente notar. Imprimimos fotos porque queremos exibir um momento no tempo que nunca voltaremos, fazemos isso porque queremos nos sentir bem com algo, e o mais importante é que fazemos isso porque as fotos significam algo para nós, todos nós, quer saibamos disso ou não.

Hey guys, my name is Shawn Moran and I am a photographer from the Boston Area! For as long as I can remember I have loved taking pictures. Growing up I loved using those disposable cameras that you would buy at the pharmacy, and even though the image quality was pretty terrible it still was a lot of fun!
A few years back I moved to Boston where I went to college at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Being able to live in the city and explore its beauty at my leisure truly is what has inspired me take my photography from my cell phone camera to a DSLR camera.
I love being able to capture a scene that will quite literally never happen again. Think about that. Every time you take a picture the image that you capture in your camera can never be recreated. Whether it be a car driving down a highway or something as simple as a certain cloud pattern, that photo that you just took, that scene that you just captured is yours forever, it belongs to you.
So why print photos? Well, paper prints are different than just a picture on a screen. You do it because you love how it looks, or because it reminds you of a place that has a certain meaning to you. There’s just a different feeling to a photo printed onto paper than to that of a photo on a screen that you’ll probably swipe past without really ever noticing. We print photos because we want to display a moment in time that we will never get back, we do it because we want to feel good about something, and most importantly we do it because photos mean something to us, all of us, whether we know that or not.
