Ciao! Sono Ava McNeil e sono la designer e proprietaria di Stashes of Stuff. Cucio da sempre. Ho iniziato a partecipare alle fiere di paese con i miei lavori alla tenera età di otto anni e, già da adolescente, vincevo concorsi di cucito. Da allora, il cucito e il quilting sono sempre stati per me.
Vendiamo tessuti di alta qualità, trapunte fatte a mano, modelli e kit per trapunte. Con l'aiuto di tutti i miei figli e nipoti, realizziamo molte delle nostre trapunte e kit per trapunte fatte a mano quando vengono ordinate, quindi molte di esse possono avere un tessuto o una taglia diversi. Tutto viene fatto "in casa" e i miei 5 figli adulti (che cuciono, trapuntano e aiutano nell'attività) mi hanno lasciato molte grandi stanze vuote che sono state convertite nella nostra attività. Abbiamo una sala quilting con una quilter a braccio lungo, una sala ricamo con diverse macchine e la nostra sala tessuti per la vendita di tessuti e la creazione di kit, solo per citarne alcune. È meraviglioso fare ciò che AMI!
Proveniamo da una lunga stirpe di "appassionati di cucito" e desideriamo tramandare questa passione. Quindi realizziamo alcuni dei nostri kit per quilt con la mia "principiante" e cerchiamo di rendere i modelli facili da seguire.
La mia passione è nata con mia nonna. Durante la Grande Depressione, mia nonna manteneva la sua famiglia realizzando abiti da sposa con i suoi modelli e barattandoli con alcuni dei loro bisogni primari. Sapeva cucire, realizzare o fare assolutamente qualsiasi cosa. La ammiravo immensamente e ho imparato tantissimo da lei. Mia madre aveva anche un'attività di cucito e un'attività di tendaggi, che mi hanno offerto per anni un'opportunità di lavoro che ho adorato.
Oltre alla mia passione per il cucito, ho svolto molte professioni diverse nella mia vita. Ma torno sempre al mio amore per il cucito. I miei interessi in questo ambito sono vari come la mia vita. Credo di possedere – e utilizzare – ogni attrezzo per cucire e quilting che una donna o un uomo conosca. La mia scorta di tessuti non conosce limiti! La mia attività si basa su molte specializzazioni. Sono pronta a mettere la mia esperienza al vostro servizio.

Hello! I am Ava McNeil and I am the designer and owner of Stashes of Stuff.  I have been sewing for my entire life. I started entering items I had made in county fairs at the tender age of eight, and by my early teen years, was winning sewing competitions. Since then, sewing and quilting have always been there for me.
We sell our top quality designer fabric, handmade quilts, patterns, and quilt kits.  With the help of all of my children and grandchildren, we make many of our handmade quilts and quilt kits when ordered so, many of them can have a change of fabric or size. Everything is done "in house" has 5 grown children (all that sew, quilt, and help with the business) left me with many large empty rooms that have been converted into our business. We have a quilting room with a longarm quilter, an embroidery room with several machines, and our fabric room for fabric sales and kit building just to name a few. It is wonderful to do what you LOVE!
We come from a long line of "sewing passionates" and wish to pass that on. So we build some of our quilt kits with the beginner in mine and try to make the patterns easy to follow.
My passion began with my grandmother. During the Great Depression, my grandmother supported her family by making wedding dresses from her own patterns and trading the dresses for some of their basic needs. She could sew, make or do absolutely anything. I looked up to her immensely and learned so much from her. My mother also had a sewing business and a drapery business, which gave me a job opportunity for years that I loved.
On top of my sewing passion, I have had many different professions in my life. But, I always return to my love of sewing. My interests in this area are as varied as my life. I believe that I own – and use - every sew and quilting gadget is known to woman or man. My fabric stash knows no bounds! My business is based around many specialties. I am ready to put my expertise to use for you.
