A women-led leather studio shaped by generations of craftsmanship
Duffle Studio è nato dall'amicizia, dalla famiglia e da un profondo rispetto per l'artigianato.
Mi chiamo Fatima e, insieme alla mia cara amica Zohrat, ho fondato Duffle Studio per portare avanti un'arte che fa parte della mia vita da quando ne ho memoria.
Crescendo a Udaipur, nel Rajasthan, la pelle non è mai stata per me solo un materiale: faceva parte della vita di tutti i giorni. Gli stretti vicoli della città ospitano abili artigiani della pelle, il cui lavoro ha plasmato silenziosamente la reputazione di Udaipur per decenni. Questo mondo non è qualcosa che ho scoperto in seguito; è qualcosa con cui sono cresciuto.
Per me, questo mestiere ha radici profonde. Mio padre ha lavorato per oltre 30 anni come artigiano della pelle, padroneggiando l'arte del taglio, della cucitura e della rifinitura a mano di pelli pregiate. Sono cresciuto osservando le pelli grezze trasformarsi lentamente in borse fatte per durare: resistenti, funzionali e belle nella loro semplicità. Quel processo mi ha insegnato la pazienza, il rispetto per i materiali e il valore del fare le cose per bene.
Duffle Studio è il mio modo di portare avanti questa eredità.
Con Zohrat al mio fianco come partner creativo e co-costruttore, abbiamo deciso di portare queste competenze a un pubblico globale tramite Etsy, pur rimanendo radicati negli stessi laboratori, strumenti e tecniche che sono stati affidabili per generazioni.
Ogni borsa che creiamo, che si tratti di un borsone, di una borsa da viaggio, di uno zaino o di una tracolla, è realizzata in pelle di alta qualità, scelta per la sua resistenza, la consistenza ricca e la capacità di invecchiare magnificamente. Sono pezzi pensati per viaggiare con te, raccontare storie lungo il cammino e migliorare con il tempo.

Duffle Studio began with friendship, family, and a deep respect for craftsmanship.
My name is Fatima, and along with my closest friend Zohrat, I started Duffle Studio to carry forward a craft that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Growing up in Udaipur, Rajasthan, leather was never just a material to me—it was part of everyday life. The narrow lanes of the city are home to skilled leather artisans whose work has quietly shaped Udaipur’s reputation for decades. This world wasn’t something I discovered later; it’s something I grew up around.
For me, this craft runs especially deep. My father has spent over 30 years working as a leather craftsman, mastering the art of cutting, stitching, and finishing premium leather by hand. I grew up watching raw hides slowly transform into bags built to last—strong, functional, and beautiful in their simplicity. That process taught me patience, respect for materials, and the value of doing things properly.
Duffle Studio is my way of carrying that legacy forward.
With Zohrat by my side as a creative partner and co-builder, we decided to bring these skills to a global audience through Etsy—while staying rooted in the same workshops, tools, and techniques that have been trusted for generations.
Every bag we create—whether a duffle, weekender, backpack, or crossbody—is made using high-quality leather, chosen for its durability, rich texture, and ability to age beautifully. These are pieces designed to travel with you, gather stories along the way, and become better with time.
