Este slogan nasceu das memórias da minha infância, quando observava as pombas aninhando-se nos pinheiros ao lado da varanda e os rouxinóis que anunciavam a primavera. Remete aos dias no jardim, cuidando das roseiras recém-plantadas e colhendo dálias e bocas-de-leão para minha mãe. Leva-me de volta ao quintal dos meus avós, com plantas tão altas que eu não conseguia enxergar por cima, mas com um perfume tão doce que ainda consigo sentir hoje. Espero que suas memórias sejam despertadas enquanto você folheia meus conjuntos de cartões e as pinturas originais que os inspiraram. Nossas memórias nos sustentam nos bons e nos momentos difíceis, e acredito que a arte em aquarela faz o mesmo. Combinar essas cenas e imagens familiares com uma técnica suave como a aquarela é tão reconfortante. Um conforto, seja em um cartão ou em uma pintura para emoldurar, esse é o objetivo da minha arte. Original Watercolor Art Inspired by the Nests we Build and the Gardens we Tend.
This tagline was born in the memories I have as a child growing up watching the doves nesting in the pines next to the screen porch and the robins that heralded spring. It recalls the days in the garden coaxing the newly planted tea roses and cutting the dahlias and snapdragons for mother. It takes me back to grandma and grandpa's backyard with plants too tall for me to see over, but fragrance so sweet I can still smell it today. I hope your memories are jogged as you flip through my card sets and original paintings from which they are drawn. Our memories sustain us in the good times and the challenging, and I think watercolor art does the same. Combining these familiar scenes and images with a soft medium like watercolor is so soothing.
