Siempre me ha encantado el bordado: los colores, las texturas y el trabajo con las fibras. Cuando era adolescente, comencé a hacer regalos bordados a mano y, cuando las máquinas de bordar comenzaron a aparecer en el mercado de consumo, ¡me enganché! Me fascinan los desafíos de combinar colores para resaltar lo mejor de cada uno, descubrir cómo imitar una textura como el pelo de un animal con hilo, experimentar con hilos de distintos grosores y jugar con hilos fuera de lo común (como los metálicos o jaspeados) para los adornos. I have always loved embroidery - the colors, textures and working in the fiber arts. As a teenager, I started making hand-embroidered gifts and when embroidery machines began to appear on the consumer market, I was hooked! I am fascinated by the challenges of putting colors together that bring out the best in each, figuring out how to mimic a texture like animal fur with thread, experimenting with various weight thread, and playing with out-of-the-ordinary threads (like metallic or variegated) for embellishments.
