Sono un ingegnere. Fin da bambino amavo creare cose in legno. Quando sono cresciuto, l'era dei computer è appena salita, quindi ho colto l'opportunità e sono diventato un ingegnere del software. È stato bello per circa vent'anni. Durante questo periodo ho continuato a sognare i miei giocattoli di legno, le case di legno, i trenini di legno ma c'erano altre priorità...

Nella vita, c'è un buon tempismo per tutto, devi solo essere paziente e continuare a credere. Per me, quel tempismo è arrivato ai miei quarant'anni quando ho raccolto abbastanza esperienza, determinazione e supporto per lasciare il mio lavoro e iniziare una nuova sfida.

Vivendo in un tipico minuscolo appartamento, con un bambino che ama giocare e con giocattoli sparsi dappertutto, ho avuto il contesto perfetto per cercare soluzioni. L'ingegneria è tornata di nuovo a portata di mano e, ispirato dai problemi e dalle esigenze della mia famiglia, ho creato un paio di mobili in legno che ci hanno reso la vita più facile.

Quelle cose erano così belle che tutti i nostri amici ci hanno incoraggiato a iniziare a creare più pezzi per il resto delle persone. Ci è voluto un po' di tempo per trovare coraggio e prendere quella decisione audace, ma alla fine è successo. Eccomi qui, un designer di oggetti nuovo di zecca con un alto desiderio di creare oggetti fantastici e utili per bambini e genitori.

Siamo un'azienda familiare, crediamo nei valori della famiglia e vogliamo aiutare le famiglie guadagnandoci da vivere. A proposito, il nome della nostra attività - "Atelierul Mari și Mici" (in rumeno) - significa "il laboratorio per adulti e bambini" , un altro modo di scrivere il nostro valore fondamentale.

I am an engineer. Since I was a kid I loved crafting things out of wood. When I grew up, the computer age just rose up so I grabbed the opportunity and became a software engineer. That was cool for about twenty years. During this time I continued to dream about my wooden toys, wooden houses, wooden trains but there were other priorities...

In life, there is a good timing for everything, you just need to be patient and continue believing. For me, that timing came at my forties when I gathered enough experience, determination and support to quit my job and start a new challenge.

Living in a typical tiny apartment, with a kid loving to play and with toys spread all over the place, I had the perfect context to seek for solutions. Engineering came again at hand and, inspired by the problems and needs of my own family, I created a couple of pieces of wooden furniture that made our life easier.

Those things were so cool that all our friends encouraged us to start crafting more pieces for the rest of the people. It took a while to gain courage and make that bold decision but eventually that happened. Here I am now, a brand new object designer with a high desire of crafting crafting cool and useful objects for kids and parents altogether.

We are a family business, we believe in family values and we want to help families while making a living out of it. By the way, the name of our business - ”Atelierul Mari și Mici” (in Romanian) - means ”the Workshop for Grownups and Kids” , another way of writing our core value.
