Virginia "Auction Junkie" and Treasure Hunter
Después de 25 años como higienista dental me encontré desempleada, víctima de una economía en dificultades. Pero no pasó mucho tiempo para ver que Dios me estaba dando la oportunidad de volver a centrarme en las cosas que amo: mi familia (un esposo maravilloso y 2 adolescentes), hablar con la gente y cualquier cosa VINTAGE!
Sin tener ni idea de lo que estaba haciendo, me instalé en una de mis tiendas vintage favoritas y aprendí mucho de algunas personas maravillosas. He pasado los últimos dos años vendiendo solo en espectáculos de antigüedades y mercados de pulgas, ya que las demandas de ser líder de Boy Scout y madre de la banda tenían prioridad.
Soy un autoproclamado "adicto a las subastas" y cazador de tesoros. Busco ventas de patio, subastas y sótanos de amigos en busca de muebles viejos cansados y sucios y otras gemas, los renuevo y los encuentro nuevos hogares. También he hecho algunos trabajos para amigos que no podían desprenderse de un mueble preciado o una reliquia familiar.

After 25 years as a Dental Hygienist I found myself unemployed, a victim of a struggling economy. But it didn't take long to see that God was giving me an opportunity to refocus on the things that I love-my family (a wonderful husband and 2 teenage boys), talking with people and anything VINTAGE!
Without a clue as to what I was doing, I set up shop at one of my favorite vintage stores and learned a lot from some wonderful people. I've spent the last couple of years only selling at antique shows and flea markets as the demands of being a Boy Scout leader and Band mom took priority.
I am a self-proclaimed "auction junkie" and treasure hunter. I search yard sales, auctions and friends basements for tired, dirty old furniture and other gems, refurbish them and find them new homes. I also have done some work for friends who couldn't part with a treasured piece of furniture or family heirloom.
