Folklore-led learning for children
Wild Together started the way most of this kind of thing does: outside, with our own children, figuring out what works and what doesn't.
We're Matt and Cat. Cat builds the lesson plans, the curriculum links, the actual delivery, the parts that make a session work on a cold Tuesday with real children in front of you. Matt writes the folklore, the stories, the thinking behind why any of this matters in the first place.
Children don't need to be told nature is important, they need language for what they already feel out there, and folklore has been doing that job for longer than any curriculum has existed.
So every Wild Together plan is built around a real seasonal story first. The activities, the curriculum links, and the practical detail all come after, in service of the story rather than the other way round. Adaptations for SEND aren't an afterthought bolted on at the end, they're built into how every session is written, because no two children arrive at 'stand still and listen to the birds' the same way, and that's fine.
We're a small, family-run outdoor learning business, working with home educators, Forest School practitioners, and schools who want more than an activity sheet. If that sounds like what you're after, we'd love for you to have a look around.
