I'm the founder of Makeshift Society, a coworking space and organization for creative freelancers, independent business owners and small teams, with locations in San Francisco and Brooklyn.

I am also Market Editor at Anthology Magazine and a consultant to independent makers, brands, stores and organizations. I wrote an eBook, Retail Readiness, to help makers learn how to sell to stores.

Previously, I operated Rare Device, a design-led store and art gallery, from 2005-2011, and conducted retail experiments with some friends. I've also been a business columnist for UPPERCASE Magazine, a jewelry designer, a wedding stationer, a web designer and a content management consultant. I live in San Francisco.
