Our Wooden Sock Blockers are made of the highest quality plywood, a sturdy 6 mm thick. They are laser cut and engraved, in a variety of decorative motifs, and can be personalized at your request.
Every Wooden Sock Blocker is carefully finished by hand, with special attention paid to smoothing the edges. They are then painted with a clear, water-based varnish and given a final polish.
The length of the blocker (L dimension) should be 1- 2 cm (0.5-1 inch) longer than the length of the foot for which the sock is made.
As they are made from natural wood, they may have small discolorations and small knots, which only adds to their charm and uniqueness.
If you're into knitting or crocheting socks, then you know how important it is to block them. Only in this way will you achieve the perfect look. 5 out of 5 starsThese are beautiful! They took a little while to get to me in Ireland, but that's not unexpected with postal delays at the moment. They were well worth the wait! I've never needed sock blockers before because I only ever made plain socks, but after making a pair of lace socks for my mum I decided I really needed blockers to get the best out of the pattern. I'm so happy with these blockers, they're sturdy, smooth, good air flow for drying thanks to the design, they're wonderful for taking photos of my socks and functional first and foremost. I feel like they're going to inspire me to knit even more socks so I can see how gorgeous they look on these! Thank you MlynJedrow!

Very pretty, really intricate, due to how detailed it is, there is some snagging when blocking but I knew about this from a previous review. Really happy with purchase. Prompt shipping, received within 1.5 weeks the the US. I got the Medium thinking it would be good for women’s US size 7-9 but if you look at the dimensions provided by the seller the foot length is a bit longer so these will actually block larger socks women’s US 9+. I’m purchasing the small size next since the measurements are what I’m looking for.
