Unique, handcrafted hanging earrings in a great, bright fuchsia, set with a classy, shimmering bordeaux. The earrings are glittery and bright, but just simple enough that they look great during the day too! In any case an eye-catcher.

Elaborately handcrafted from 1.5 mm old silver Japanese Rocailles (very even seed beads made of high quality glass), iridescent red Swarovski round beads and 3 mm large, semi-transparent dark red Swarovski crystal beads, all of which enclose the 14 mm large main crystal, the shines in fuchsia, i.e. deep pink. The hooks are made of hypoallergenic stainless steel. The earrings are threaded on Fireline thread, a very stable special thread. Very comfortable to wear & light (each earring weighs 3g individually, i.e. 6g together). Measurements: 6 cm including the hooks, width approx. 2.2 cm.

The Swarovski company has stopped producing crystals and beads for the DIY sector. This piece is one of the last to only use these high quality beads. You still have the opportunity to experience these pieces in all their glory. Unfortunately, this will only be possible for a limited time. This is another reason why this piece is absolutely unique and we will not be able to imitate it.

It has been proven that people have been making glass beads since around 4000 BC, and there is archaeological evidence for this. Ancient grave goods and historical finds also show that glass beads are among the oldest pieces of jewelery known to mankind and also had a high social value, including as currency. They represent the most important artificially produced pearls. Glass as a raw material has always fascinated people and certainly still does today, considering the wonderful colors and shapes in which glass pearls are now produced. Here we can draw from an almost inexhaustible pool of possibilities.

There are various fascinating methods for bead threading, all of which can only be carried out in the tried and tested, complex manual work, which of course requires a lot of time and dexterity as well as a good eye. The techniques, such as the peyote stitch, have often developed independently of each other in different places in the world and are therefore part of rich cultural techniques.

The jewelry comes to you in a small organza bag, which is also great as a gift. Wherever possible, we recycle our packaging material to reduce waste, which means that the mailer and cushioning material used may have been reused by us.

All pieces in our etsy shop are etsy exclusive, which means we don't take them to our craft fairs.
