HISTORY AND SYMBOLISM
The Iris set is inspired by the shape of a rainbow, drawing on the aesthetic of Ancient Greek hoop earrings. The word "rainbow" is composed of the following words:
1. 'Arcus' from Latin: bow, referring to the weapon, curved shape.
2. 'Îris' from Greek: Iris, goddess of ancient Greek mythology who painted the rainbow of colors in the sky with her cape to indicate to humans that the storm was coming to an end.
The part of our eye called the "iris" also alludes to this goddess of Olympus.
