The pattern is supplied as an instantly downloadable digital PDF file, so you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader to open, print and save the file. Once paid for it will available to download and is also always accessible from your Etsy purchase history. A receipt will be emailed to your Etsy contact email (please ensure that this is up to date).

The file is 17 pages long and contains over 50 detailed step-by-step photographs along with full pattern instructions and tips for stuffing, seaming and finishing neatly. It is less of a knitting pattern and more of a 'how to' manual.

The pattern is written for knitting flat on two needles and all pieces are seamed afterwards. Please note that this project is not a quick or simple knit. I t takes me around 14 hours to make and finish each of the animals that I make and just under half of that time is spent on the finishing off. There are lots of separate pieces which require seaming and sewing and if you are looking for something fast and easy you would probably be better off finding a different pattern. That said this PDF file will give you all of the information that you need to knit the little bunny pictured. Also included are 3 different designs for the head so that you can choose which bunny you make.

What you will need:

• worsted or light aran yarn (approx 53m): Yarn A
• 4ply weight yarn in 3 contrasting colours for the clothing: Yarn B, Yarn C, Yarn D
• Scraps of black and grey yarn, DK or 4ply for the eyes and facial features
• Scraps of cream DK, worsted or aran for the tail
• Toy stuffing
• A tiny button

• Knitting needles: A pair each of 3mm, 2.75mm and 2.5mm
• Tapestry needle

Little Cotton Rabbits are my favourite patterns. They work! They're not for beginners, especially the heads, but for reasonably experienced knitters they are an absolute joy. I am making a group of woodland creatures for my granddaughter. So far I have made a fox, badger, rabbit and also a pig in the 9" creatures. I also made a little 7" bear. The patterns are marvellous, with alternative designs for head colouring and you can mix and match the clothes. There are tips about the patterns and how to do difficult bits and alternative methods for achieving the same result. So thoughtfully written. I would highly recommend these beautiful patterns to anyone who loves knitting.
