I was looking for a rocking chair that I could assemble using my basic woodworking skill and achieve a high quality heirloom that I could finish to my desire. This chair will start its life in a nursery and is exactly what I was looking for. The product was shipped immediately and I received it in about 3 days with professional UPS tracking service as well. The walnut is an American luxury wood that allows for a deep beautiful dark finish. The design is exquisite and very refined. This chair is extremely comfortable and attractive. I really appreciate the years of experience that Jason employs in every joint, bend, angle, mortise and curve. This product requires thought and patience to assemble and finish but it is worth it. Jason responded immediately to a couple questions I had along the way.

The chair pieces came intact and the assembly wasn’t too bad although the instructions could use a rewrite to make them more cohesive. For example, the instructions did not mention the front strap of the seat which has four holes in it as opposed to the top planks of the seat that all have only two holes. I chose to upgrade my hardware to epoxy coded deck screws, and bolts because I didn’t want to deal with zinc plated fasteners that would stain over time. I am very, very happy with the result. The chair is very comfortable.
