Background:

For 5 years we both lived in Berlin and were always fascinated by this unique metropolis. No corner resembles the other, each neighborhood has its own individual charm and yet they all have one thing in common: they are part of Berlin. In order to get a better picture of it and to keep in mind how great Berlin really is, Dorian, as a graphic designer, set himself the task of capturing exactly that.


On the origin:

For the Berlin map, Dorian has stitched a map from a series of Google Maps screenshots and then traced each street path by path with the retrace tool. He then translated the vector graphic into a screen printing cliché that serves as a template for each print. Developed in the bathtub and printed at the desk, each of our prints is made with a lot of love and is 100% handmade. The copy number and edition of the respective print is stamped on the back of the card.

We always strive to make our work process as environmentally friendly and vegan as possible and therefore use water-based paint and recycled paper and photo cardboard.
