Picnicer is a book calendar for 2020.

It has a square size of 148 mm x 148 mm and 216 pages with a black ring binding, so that it can be left open.

The calendar was printed by the Rostock-based printing company HAHN Media + Druck GmbH on cream-white natural paper. The book cover was 2 mm thick bookbinding box.

The editors Stine Schröder (graphic artist) and Heiko von Swieykowski (journalist) convey the wisdom of Ikigai every month, graphically excitingly prepared. The Ikigai is the life motto of the centenary fit Japanese on Okinawa. Tips on how to integrate the Ikigai into everyday life will be learned by the reader at the end of each month. A coloring graphic in this context is intended to stimulate self-reflection.

The reader is lured into nature by inspiring descriptions of nature for the respective months. Selected quotations and atmospheric photos, tailored to the monthly motto, accompany the reader week after week - all year round.

It is fun to discover full moon and bridge days in the calendar through their detailed depiction: Bridge days are illustrated by hammocks and full moons by howling wolves.

Particular attention is paid to ancient meteorological refractory festivals, some of which have been forgotten.

By painting patterned picnic blankets during the four seasons, meditative breaks are encouraged.

Flowers, feathers, leaves and other finds from nature can be collected and glued in the picnic calendar.

At the end of the year, the calendar turns into a kind of diary.
