Every Mama Morgana glass object was once a wine bottle and is therefore an upcycling product. The term upcycling, a combination of the English words "up" (on) and "recycling" (reuse), refers to the material upgrading of a supposed waste product. Instead of throwing the empty bottles into the container and preparing them at great expense so that the material can be reused, the life cycle of the wine bottles is extended by making vases, glasses, flower pots, etc. from them by hand.
A big advantage of upcycling is that it saves resources. Throwing away and buying new products not only creates a lot of waste, but also more and more new products, the manufacture of which in turn consumes resources and energy and causes CO2. Thus, Mama Morgana's unique glass items make a good contribution to our environment and are a sustainable gift idea.

Die Gläser & Vasen aus re/upgecycelten Weinflaschen sind robust und können ohne weiteres auch in die Spülmaschine.

Hartnäckige Kalkflecken bekommst du gut weg, indem du das Glas/ die Vase mit warmen Wasser füllst und einen Schuss Essigessenz beifügst und es ein paar Minuten stehen lässt. Dann gründlich auswaschen und trocken polieren!

Einen richtig schönen Glanz erhalten die Vasen/Gläser, wenn du sie mit einem Mikrofasertuch auf Hochglanz polierst! Auch kannst du ab und an die Kanten des Glases mit ein wenig Öl einfetten!
