This pattern comes in two variations; short and tall. Each version has 3 size options and a formula for resizing. It’s even reversible. There are so many possibilities! It might look complicated but it’s easy and quick to sew. The only thing that takes time for me and probably for you too is choosing fabric. I hope you enjoy the process as much as I do!
Short version 4.5” x 5.25” x 4.5”/ 5.25 x 6” x 5.25”/ 6” x 6.75” x 6” (WxHxD)
Tall version 2.5” x 6.5” x 2.5”/ 2.75” x 7.25” x 2.75”/ 3.5” x 8.75” x 3.5” (WxHxD)
-Exterior two assorted cotton fabrics - 1FQ
-Lining cotton fabric - 1FQ
-Casing same as one of an exterior fabrics or a coordinating fabric - Scrap
-Cording cord or ribbon - 46”/52”/58” for short 30”/32”/38” for tall version
-Rotary cutter and mat
-Sewing clips and/or pins
-Threader or safety pin

Accurate cutting is the key to assembling all the parts neatly. You could use scissors but I highly recommend a rotary cutter, cutting mat and clear acrylic gridded ruler.

Really enjoyed making this pattern! The bags takes very little fabric. Great way to use up some scraps. Instructions were included to adjust the size so I made a size smaller than the smallest size of the taller bags. Turned out so cute.
The pattern has 6 options, and with the video to follow it is a GREAT BUY!! The finished piece is also quite versitile and also makes a very smart-looking clutch purse. This is the most amazing yet simple and quick to sew bag I have ever made. Love it!
I am SO glad that it includes a video tutorial for part of it, I don’t know if I’d have ever gotten it by just the drawings (my own limitation I believe, not the instructions). With that assist, this was pretty easy to make! It came out so so cute, it’s probably one of the better quality things I’ve made.
Great pattern! Make sure you follow the seam allowances so the outside and inside layers fit together correctly. The paper instructions were kind of hard to follow for the outside but the video made it easy and once you do it once it's easy to make again!
