I grew up in the countryside in Maryland, in a 100 year old farmhouse that my dad salvaged from demolition by relocating it and renovating it throughout my childhood. My mother taught each of her four children the value of thrift and an appreciation of art. This combined into a special set of values and resourcefulness that informs my life and art, and for which I am very grateful.
I was fortunate to receive a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Painting from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD.
I now live in Denver, Colorado with my husband and daughter, and our dog, Luka. For our wedding, 15 years ago, I received gifts of a table saw and a sewing machine. I use these to create repurposed home decor in my home studio.
