Our history
Alice Blue did not start as a business.
It began as a way to store emotions.
My sister and I grew up painting together. From a young age, we spent hours drawing, mixing colors, and trying to capture the light that streamed through the windows of our house. Over time, we each went our separate ways: she dedicated herself to the visual arts, and I to architecture. However, we never stopped sharing the same sensitivity to spaces and to what an image can evoke.
I've always loved how a single piece can completely transform a space. A painting doesn't just fill a wall: it creates atmosphere, memories, and a sense of companionship. There are corners of a house that become important without us even knowing why… often it's because of what we see every day.
Alice Blue's illustrations begin as original hand-painted works by my sister. We then carefully reproduce them to preserve the soft texture, tones, and feel of the original. The intention has never been mass production, but rather to bring accessible art to real homes, not just galleries.
The name comes from the color "Alice Blue," a soft, luminous shade of blue that conveys calm. I fell in love with this color because it resembles the afternoon light streaming through a window: tranquil, clean, and familiar. It was also inspired by Alice Roosevelt, a strong-willed woman who broke all the rules in her time.
Each order is prepared personally, one by one.
When someone chooses a piece, I always think about where it will live: a new living room, a room that is being built, a special gift, or a small corner that needed to feel warmer.

Nuestra historia
Alice Blue no comenzó como un negocio.
Comenzó como una forma de guardar emociones.
Mi hermana y yo crecimos pintando juntas. Desde pequeñas pasábamos horas dibujando, mezclando colores y tratando de copiar la luz que entraba por las ventanas de la casa. Con el tiempo, cada una tomó su camino: ella se dedicó a las artes plásticas y yo a la arquitectura. Sin embargo, nunca dejamos de compartir la misma sensibilidad por los espacios y por lo que una imagen puede hacer sentir.
Siempre me ha gustado cómo un espacio puede cambiar completamente con una sola pieza. Un cuadro no solo llena una pared: crea atmósfera, memoria y compañía. Hay rincones de una casa que se vuelven importantes sin que sepamos por qué… muchas veces es por lo que vemos todos los días.
Las ilustraciones de Alice Blue nacen primero como obras originales pintadas a mano por mi hermana. Después las reproducimos cuidadosamente para que conserven la textura suave, los tonos y la sensación del original. La intención nunca ha sido producir en serie, sino llevar arte accesible a casas reales, no solo a galerías.
El nombre viene del color “Alice Blue”, un tono de azul suave y luminoso que transmite calma. Me enamoré de ese color porque se parece a la luz de la tarde entrando por una ventana: tranquilo, limpio y familiar además de estar inspirado en Alice Roosvelt, una mujer con carácter que rompió todos los esquemas en su época.
Cada pedido se prepara personalmente, uno por uno.
Cuando alguien elige una pieza, siempre pienso en dónde va a vivir: una sala nueva, un cuarto que se está formando, un regalo especial o un pequeño rincón que necesitaba sentirse más cálido.
