Welcome to Bake Shop Studio! This is Mai (mommy) & Amelie (9-year old daughter). As a working mom of 2, I barely had any free time. We have always been a very busy family of 4, always on-the-go, out and about exploring everything and every place we can - we were barely at home.
And then....Covid-19 hit! Wham! We’ve lost most of our regular sources of entertainment like playdates, museums, playgrounds, zoos, malls, theme parks! We had to find entertainment within our walls.
Every weekend, I dedicate precious mommy and daughter time, which happens when lil brother Nico takes his nap. I’ve always been an arts-and-crafts kinda gal. And luckily, Amelie loves it as much as I do. We did ALOT of arts & crafts during covid-19. We started playing with clay one day and both loved it so much... we keep making and baking.
As a self-starter and entrepreneur myself, I want to teach Amelie about running a business and saving money, but I also wanted to teach her the value and joy of helping others. Amelie has always wanted to do a real bake sale or a lemonade stand... with covid-19, this will have to wait. But for now, we will do a virtual “bake sale” - a percentage of our sales will be donated to those less fortunate than us.
