Heidi Wendeln captures the proportions, facial expressions and the hesitant, groping gestures of the figure excellently, which seems to be fathoming a new world. With the pendulum hanging over the free-floating oak console, the usual limitation of the standing area is overcome - here, as well as in the small metaphorical detail of the snail shell, the motif of a departure into a new, still uncertain situation finds an original expression.
