He estado cosiendo y haciendo manualidades desde que tengo memoria. ¡Puedo agradecerle a mi madre por eso! Ella siempre alentó la creatividad de cualquier tipo.
A lo largo de los años, he mantenido mis manos ocupadas haciendo colchas y manualidades. Soy miembro del gremio de colchas Valley of the Mist en Temecula, California, donde tengo la oportunidad de tomar clases y aprender nuevas técnicas. También estoy siempre buscando nuevas manualidades para compartir con mis hijas. ¡Definitivamente es mi pasión! El acolchado y las manualidades me han hecho apreciar realmente todo lo que está hecho a mano. Sé que se necesita mucha reflexión, cuidado y tiempo para crear algo de principio a fin, sin importar cuán grande o pequeño sea.
Para mí, las colchas son sinónimo de amor, comodidad y calidez. Pueden ser hermosas y funcionales o pueden ser hermosas obras de arte. No importa qué tipo elija hacer, disfruto del proceso de principio a fin. Y, afortunadamente para mí, los diseñadores de telas crean continuamente paletas divertidas para nosotros en colores y patrones vibrantes. ¡No hace falta decir que mi reserva de telas sigue creciendo!
Toda esta actividad creativa tiene lugar en mi estudio en casa. Allí me rodean hermosas colchas hechas por maestros y amigos. Estas colchas coloridas, así como los libros creativos y las piezas de arte especiales, me inspiran en mi proceso creativo.
Mi pasión por crear para mi familia y mis amigos me hizo pensar: ¿por qué no expandirme y compartir el amor por lo que hago con los demás? Así que aquí estoy en Etsy, con la esperanza de ofrecerle algo especial a alguien nuevo.

I’ve been sewing and crafting for as long as I can remember. I can thank my mom for that! She always encouraged creativity of any kind.
Through the years I have been keeping my hands busy making quilts and crafts. I’m a member of the Valley of the Mist Quilters Guild in Temecula, California, where I have the opportunity to take classes and learn new techniques. I’m also always on the lookout for new crafts to share with my girls. It’s definitely my passion! Quilting and crafting have given me a real appreciation for anything handcrafted. I know that it takes great thought, care, and time to create something from beginning to end, no matter how large or how small.
Quilts, to me, equal love, comfort, and warmth. Quilts can be beautiful and functional or they can be beautiful works of art. No matter which type I choose to make, I enjoy the process from beginning to end. And fortunately for me, fabric designers are continually creating fun palettes for us in vibrant colors and patterns. Needless to say my fabric stash continues to grow!
All this creative activity takes place in my home studio. Beautiful quilts made by teachers and friends surround me there. These colorful quilts, as well as creative books, and special pieces of art, all inspire me in my creative process.
My love for creating for my family and friends got me to thinking. Why not branch out and share the love of what you make with others? So here I am at Etsy, hoping to bring a little something special to someone new.
