Crank Sturgeon in a few sentences…
I've been building contact microphones since the early 1990's. It started as an art school thing: a lot of us (art students) had heaps of sonic ideas, but zero actual musical talent. This resulted in frequent trips to thrift stores, dumpsters, and, if we had a little extra cash, Radio Shack - anything it took to get our projects and up and running and sounding cool. My DIY approach evolved over the years, as a sound-making artist and also as a technician, working for audio component manufacturers. The combination of experimental tinkering and professional work led to developing a product line of microphones: not only was I using these microphones on my tours, there was a growing number of inquiries on how to purchase them.
Fast-forward to 2007. I started Huso Solutions as an official small business / DBA so as to better promote my inventory of DIY transducers, shaker boxes, gadgets, and, of course: contact microphones. I signed up with Etsy in 2013.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details
The window for returns is 4 weeks. Returns must be in new condition and with original packaging. I cannot accept returns on used gear.
Payment
All microphones are processed upon receiving payment. Clearance of E-checks can take a few days. Any questions, please get in touch.
Shipping
PRODUCTS SHIP WITHIN 2 WEEKS* upon receiving payment. Purchases are processed in the order that they are received. Turnaround time is usually less than this, and I do my best to get items out in a timely manner. I understand that nobody likes to wait.
*The COVID-19 pandemic is likely going to affect the shipment of parts and mail delivery. As this situation is fluid, I'll be amending the shipping times of certain products.
Pretty please: DO NOT place an order with a note expressing that you'll need the mic in two days because you have an upcoming gig. This is not only rude but it's unfair to the other customers. If you're in a rush, GET IN TOUCH FIRST.
All my microphones ship 1st class or USPS Priority within the USA.
I will provide tracking numbers when your items ship. Please keep in mind that sometimes chaos theory applies to shipping; once these products leave the post office, they are, unfortunately, at the mercy of the postal gods and not my responsibility if they get lost, stolen off your front porch, or intercepted by hungry alligators.
As a shop owner, I reserve the right to cancel orders.
