Hola, soy Jax (ellos/ellas), el creador de DauntingClaws. Soy un punk veterano de corazón (piensa en Dead Kennedys, Crass, conciertos en sótanos y todo lo que hago yo mismo) que empezó a fabricar equipos hace más de 20 años porque nada en las tiendas les sentaba bien a los raros, a los jóvenes de medio pelo y a los que nunca encajan en el código de vestimenta.
DauntingClaws es mi forma de convertir esa historia en algo tangible: collares, puños y accesorios veganos que se sienten como armaduras y adornos. Empiezo con correas y herrajes de piel sintética lisa, luego corto, perforo, remache y ensamblo cada pieza a mano en pequeñas cantidades o por encargo. Cada punta, anilla y remache se coloca con intención para que no solo sea bonito, sino lo suficientemente resistente como para que puedas usarlo y vivirlo.
Mi trabajo es para punks, góticos, chicas pastel, criaturas de lo intermedio y cualquiera que quiera que sus accesorios digan "Sigo aquí" con más fuerza. Me importa la comodidad, la durabilidad y la accesibilidad, así que siempre pienso en el ajuste, la adaptabilidad y en cómo se sentirá una pieza después de horas de uso.

Hi, I’m Jax (they/them), the hands behind DauntingClaws. I’m an aging punk kid at heart—think Dead Kennedys, Crass, basement shows and DIY everything—who started making gear over 20 years ago because nothing in the shops felt quite right for the weirdos, the in-between kids, and the ones who never fit the dress code.
DauntingClaws is my way of turning that history into something tangible: vegan-friendly collars, cuffs, and gear that feel like armor and adornment. I start with plain faux leather strapping and hardware, then cut, punch, rivet, and assemble each piece by hand in small batches or to order. Every spike, ring, and rivet is placed with intention so it’s not just pretty—it’s sturdy enough to actually be worn and lived in.
My work is for punks, goths, pastel babes, creatures of the in-between, and anyone who wants their accessories to say “I’m still here” a little louder. I care about comfort, durability, and accessibility, so I’m always thinking about fit, adjustability, and how a piece will feel after hours of wear.
