Deborah O'Leary Patterns
Crecí en una familia mixta con una casa llena de hermanos y una hermana. Mi padre siempre estaba haciendo adiciones a nuestra casa, plantando jardines, cultivando orquídeas y arreglando automóviles. Lo seguí cuando era joven y me sorprendió que pudiera construir cualquier cosa.
También tuve la bendición de tener dos abuelas que estuvieron activas en mi vida. Mi abuela "cosiendo" y mi abuela "cocinando". Es curioso que nunca tuve una abuela tejedora o de ganchillo... Aprendí por mi cuenta.
Hace unos 20 años cogí unas agujas de tejer y una madeja de hilo precioso y me enganché. Al igual que mi padre, siento que puedo hacer cualquier cosa.
Actualmente quiero inspirar a otras tejedoras y ganchillas a hacer algo nuevo y hermoso. Trato de escribir patrones simples y fáciles de leer usando puntos comunes para crear artículos que cualquiera estaría orgulloso de usar o regalar.

I grew up in a blended family with a house full of brothers and a sister. My father was always making additions to our house, planting gardens, growing orchids and fixing cars. I followed him around as a youngster and was amazed that he could build anything.
I was also blessed to have two grandmothers that were active in my life. My "sewing" grandmother and my "cooking" grandmother. Funny that I never had a knitting or crocheting grandmother... I learned on my own.
About 20 years ago I picked up some knitting needles and a skein of beautiful yarn and I was hooked. Like my father, I feel as though I can make anything.
Currently I want to inspire other knitters and crocheters to make something new and beautiful. I try to write simple and easy to read patterns using common stitches to create items that anyone would be proud to wear or give as a gift.
