Cos'è Direction Designs e perché è stato creato? Bene, ho sempre avuto la sensazione che quando le persone vengono da me per le loro esigenze di design, che si tratti di un marchio esistente o nuovo, di un sito Web migliore e / o di esigenze di design di stampa (inviti, brochure, materiali di marketing), vogliono andare in una nuova direzione che porterà la loro attività / progetto a un nuovo livello. C'è sempre una visione finale, ma arrivarci è sempre la parte difficile. È qui che entro in gioco. Insieme possiamo sviluppare, creare e perfezionare la visione che hai e puoi andare nella direzione che hai pianificato. Non c'è niente di peggio che andare nella direzione sbagliata del design e scoprire che non era quello che volevi, quindi abbiamo capito bene la prima volta!
Quindi, un po 'di me. Sono Jackie, sono nativa del Minnesota e mi sono laureata all'Università del Minnesota Duluth con una laurea in graphic design e una minore in arte. Sebbene quelle fossero le mie principali aree di studio, mi sono ramificato nel campo dell'arte e sono stato in grado di imparare molto di più. Oltre al Graphic Design, ho studiato fotografia, tipografia, cinema, musica, storia dell'arte e persino danza. Sento che tutte queste aree mi hanno reso un designer a tutto tondo.
il 1 gennaio 2008 ho fatto il trekking a San Diego. Ho lavorato come grafico per un po 'e poi sono passato a un lavoro nel settore della costruzione navale (completamente diverso da quello che sapevo e / o pensavo di volere). Questo lavoro, però, mi ha dato delle competenze davvero importanti che utilizzo ogni giorno. Sono stato in grado di interfacciarmi con persone interessanti e affinare le mie persone e le mie capacità di servizio clienti. Ho lasciato l'azienda nel luglio del 2013 per iniziare una nuova direzione come mamma casalinga e non ho guardato indietro. Oltre ad essere una mamma a tempo pieno e la mia attività di design, io e mio marito siamo proprietari della Helm's Brewing Co. (un birrificio di San Diego a Kearny Mesa e Ocean Beach) e io cane siedo nel mio tempo libero.
Adoro creare elementi di design sia dentro che fuori dal computer e mi piace creare, cucire e scoprire nuovi modi di progettare. Nel complesso, sono un individuo organizzato e orientato ai dettagli con un cuore per tutto ciò che riguarda il design. What is Direction Designs and why was it created? Well, I have always feel like when people come to me for their design needs, whether it be for an existing or new brand, a better website and/or print design needs (invitations, brochures, marketing materials), they want to go in a new direction that will bring their business/project to a new level. There is always an end vision, but getting there is always the hard part. That’s where I come in. Together we get to develop, create, and perfect the vision you have and you get to go off in the direction you planned. There is nothing worse than going off in the wrong design direction and finding out it wasn’t what you wanted, so we get it right the first time!
So, a little about me. I’m Jackie, I’m a Minnesota native and I graduated from The University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in graphic design and a minor in art. Although those were my major areas of study, I branched out within the art field and was able to learn so much more. In addition to Graphic Design, I studied photography, typography, film, music, art history and even dance. I feel like all of these areas have made me a well rounded designer.
on January 1, 2008 I made the trek to San Diego. I worked as a graphic artist for a while and then moved on to a job in the shipbuilding industry (completely different from what I knew and/or thought I wanted). This job, however, gave me some really important skills which I use every day. I was able to interface with interesting people and hone in on my own people and customer service skills. I left the company in July of 2013 to start off on a new direction as a stay-at-home mom, and haven’t looked back. In addition to being a full time mom and my design business, my husband and I are part owners of the Helm’s Brewing Co. (a San Diego brewery in Kearny Mesa and Ocean Beach) and I dog sit in my spare time.
I love to create design elements both on and off the computer and I enjoy crafting, sewing and discovering new ways to design. Overall, I am an organized and detail oriented individual with a heart for all things design. I am always for hire, and would love to help you with whatever direction you want to go!
