About FLAT ́N - Shape and Style.

Founded at the beginning of 2014 in Cologne as a private label of the design office Studio Genri.
The company is based in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, which it uses as a studio and showroom.
In addition to classic themes from industrial design, the new brand is now engaged in the design, production and distribution of its own collection of individual carpets for the lifestyle sector.
FLAT ́N relies on production in Germany and is convinced that quality prevails – without compromise.

Gegründet Anfang 2014 in Köln als Eigenmarke des Designbüros Studio Genri.
Die Firma hat ihren Sitz in Köln-Ehrenfeld, den sie als Studio und Showroom nutzt.
Neben klassischen Themen aus dem Industrial Design, beschäftigt sich die neue Marke nun mit der Gestaltung, Fertigung und dem Vertrieb einer eigenen Kollektion von individuellen Teppichen für den Lifestylebereich.
Dabei vertraut FLAT´N auf eine Produktion in Deutschland und ist davon überzeugt, dass sich Qualität durchsetzt – ohne Kompromisse.

It is particularly important to us that starting with the starting material, through the printing process, to the final assembly and chaining, we have a short production chain that is comprehensible for us and you. For these, as well as for ethical reasons, we have decided to manufacture our products exclusively in Germany. Designed by FLAT ́N in Cologne. Made in Germany.
This guarantees us an optimal quality control and we are sure that all partners are treated according to European standards.

Our philosophy

Our philosophy is to create unique, modern and timeless floor images. The design factor plays a major role in FLAT ́N carpets. After all, both managing directors are designers themselves. The carpets are characterized by a variety of material, structure and color combinations as well as fascinating product details. Each of our carpets is unique and has its own character and personality.

Uns ist es besonders wichtig, daß angefangen vom Ausgangsmaterial, über das Druckverfahren, bis hin zur Endkonfektionierung und Ketteln, wir eine für uns und Sie nachvollziehbare kurze Fertigungskette haben. Aus diesen, wie auch aus ethischen Gründen, haben wir uns entschieden unsere Produkte ausschließlich in Deutschland zu fertigen. Designed by FLAT´N in Cologne. Made in Germany.
Dies garantiert uns eine optimale Qualitätskontrolle und wir sind sicher das alle Partner nach europäischen Standards behandelt werden.

Unsere Philosophie

Unsere Philosophie ist es, einzigartige, moderne und zeitlose Bodenbilder zu kreieren. Der Faktor Design spielt bei FLAT´N Teppichen eine tragende Rolle. Schließlich sind beide Geschäftsführer selbst Designer. Die Teppiche zeichnen sich durch vielfältige Material-, Struktur- und Farbkombinationen sowie faszinierende Produktdetails aus. Jeder unserer Teppiche ist einzigartig und besitzt einen eigenen Charakter sowie Persönlichkeit.

Additional policies and FAQs

The majority of our carpets are usually produced on customer request as custom-made products. The exception is our basic collection, which we offer all year round. Therefore, our production and delivery times are at least 4-6 weeks. For this you get an individual carpet, which is compared to woven or knotted carpets, but still much faster with you.

We reserve the right to make technical changes that serve to improve quality. In rare cases, velour carpets may experience permanent shading without compromising usability, the cause of which is not due to material or construction.
Therefore, no guarantee can be given for this.

Der Großteil unserer Teppiche werden meist auf Kundenwunsch als Sonderanfertigungen hergestellt. Ausnahme ist dabei unsere Basis-Collection, die wir ganzjährig anbieten. Deshalb liegen unsere Produktions- bzw. Lieferzeiten bei mindestens 4-6 Wochen. Dafür erhalten Sie einen individuellen Teppich, der im Vergleich zu gewebten oder geknüpften Teppichen, aber trotzdem noch deutlich schneller bei Ihnen liegt.

Technische Veränderungen, die der Qualtätsverbesserung dienen, behalten wir uns vor. Bei Velours Teppichböden können in seltenen Fällen, ohne die Gebrauchstauglichkeit zu beeinträchtigen, bleibende Schattierungen (Shading) auftreten, deren Ursache nicht material- oder konstruktionsbedingt ist.
Hierfür kann deshalb keine Gewährleistung übernommen werden.
