Gala Stitch Studio started because I wanted detailed crochet designs to feel exciting, not overwhelming.
Filet crochet is at the heart of my shop. I also create overlay mosaic and tapestry crochet patterns. These techniques are not worked in the same way, so I do not place all of them inside one generic pattern template. I prepare each PDF according to the technique and the needs of the actual project.
A filet crochet pattern may include a complete mesh chart, large print working sections, written rows, gauge, finished measurements and guidance for reading open and solid mesh. Mosaic patterns receive their own chart and row system. Tapestry patterns include colour planning, working direction and construction information suited to flat tapestry crochet.
Before publishing a pattern, I check the chart dimensions, stitch and row counts, reading direction, section joins, measurements and written instructions. My goal is simple. I want the pattern to feel calm, readable and useful when you sit down with your yarn and hook.
The collection moves between botanical, celestial, gothic, vintage inspired and playful artwork. You will find patterns for wall hangings, lace panels, blankets, shawls and other decorative crochet projects.
I also create custom filet crochet patterns from customer owned photographs, original artwork, names and personal ideas. If the design can be translated clearly into open and solid mesh, I would be happy to help turn it into a crochet project.
