The skirt of Birgit alias Helena Blauerose is really beautiful and fits absolutely perfectly 🥰😍!
The material is pure virgin wool and superfine woven and milled - it just feels wonderful☺️!

Just great! I asked Birgit to make the vest with a desired fabric (only in black), which was no problem. Since it is a wool fabric, the garment is not only very beautiful, but also very warm, perfect for the winter. The contact was very friendly and Birgit always replied super fast. I particularly like the buckle at the back of the vest, which fits well in its shape to the antique cut. Thank you for this unique piece!

I was impressed by the loving handling of the purchase and the enclosed handwritten greeting. Thank you! :-)
I've been sewing for as long as I can remember. Luckily, I had a dear grandmother who taught me the basics. The final kick came from my great-grandmother's handicraft book "The Encyclopedia of Female Handicrafts" by Therese de Dillmont from the 19th century. I wanted to be able to do all that too. But since in addition to a dear grandma I also had a father who finally buried the hope of a son after the 3rd girl, I also learned to deal with soldering irons, drills and files. What was initially just a hobby has now evolved. Since 2019 I have registered a business and now make a living through the shop here on Etsy and other orders. It is a lot of fun for me to finally be able to do what I like to do and to fulfill others' dreams.

On the subject of fabrics
I also have all the fabrics I offer in stock. I usually buy woolen fabrics and silk from store closures and clearance sales exclusively in Germany, so that I can pass on low prices and conserve resources. Often also the collections of past years, which does not play a role in historical things. Fabrics that are sold out, however, can therefore usually not be procured again. I also buy cotton and linen in Germany. Basically, you can also get other fabrics for almost all articles that are specially manufactured. For silk fabrics, for example, cotton satin or linen. However, I do not process polyester fabrics.
