Engraved drinking horns and more

Announcement    All goods are mostly made by me by hand. (If it's not the case, it's included in the articles.) Over the years, I have taught myself the partly medieval techniques and refined them more and more. Especially when it comes to the engraving of the drinking horns.
The aim is not to let old craft techniques fall into oblivion, whereby the old can often be mixed well with the modern.

Of course, I also manufacture workpieces according to your individual wishes.

Questions that might arise:

- Why is my horn shorter, but has more "filling quantity"?
How much fits into a horn varies greatly. On the one hand, this is due to the width of the horn and how much space the massive tip occupies.

- Why are not all horns suitable for engraving?
It becomes problematic if the engraving surface has two colors. On its own, the horn looks super beautiful, but when engraving they are a problem. Each engraving is dyed so that it can be recognized. (Black on white, white on black) If one half of the horn is black, the other white, you would have to color the corresponding areas differently, which does not look nice. Therefore, I always try to find suitable horns for the corresponding wishes.
I will mark horns suitable for engraving with a "G" in the shop.

-How do I clean my drinking horn?
After use, simply swirl out with warm rinse water, rinse and drain with the tip upwards and let dry. Under no circumstances should the horn be washed in the dishwasher! Do not use scouring sponges or brushes for external cleaning! Simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For care you can rub the horn from time to time with a little cooking oil.

-What else do I have to pay attention to?
Please be careful with sharp-edged objects (rings, stands, etc.). These can scratch the horn. Also, should not be scratched in the engraved lines, otherwise the color will be dissolved.

The prices of the category "drinking horns" refer only to the horns. The engraving is charged extra depending on the effort, size, etc.

I would be happy to advise you if you have any further questions.
