Meet the Artist
Todo comenzó en Kinsale, Irlanda. Mi esposo y yo estábamos visitando una hermosa y pintoresca galería en Kinsale. ¿Alguna vez te has quedado completamente sin palabras al ver esa pintura que te conmovió hasta las lágrimas? ¡Bueno, eso es lo que me pasó a mí! Estaba parada en medio de la galería, sin palabras, y conmovida por una de las pinturas más hermosas que jamás había visto. Desde ese momento, supe que quería convertirme en artista.
Toda mi vida he estado involucrado con muchas formas de arte diferentes, como el teatro musical, tocar varios instrumentos musicales y otras expresiones artísticas. La creatividad se ha infiltrado en cada etapa de mi vida y me ha ayudado a superar muchos momentos difíciles.
Poder crear pinturas que reflejen quién soy y lo que amo es una bendición increíble. El arte es un viaje que trae esperanza a un mundo donde ha habido tanta incertidumbre. Eclesiastés 3:11 dice: "Todo lo hizo hermoso en su tiempo". Creo que el arte es un regalo tangible que te conmoverá, te inspirará y te animará a mirar profundamente dentro de tu alma. Como dice Frederick Buechner: "El lugar al que Dios te llama es el lugar donde se encuentran tu profunda alegría y el hambre más profunda del mundo". Mi proceso creativo se basa principalmente en el medio del óleo con una representación impresionista. Me siento verdaderamente honrado de crear pinturas originales desde el corazón utilizando una variedad de colores brillantes e intensos con un formato único de espátula. ¡Espero que disfrutes de mis pinturas tanto como yo creándolas!
It all started in Kinsale, Ireland. My husband and I were visiting a beautiful, quaint gallery in Kinsale. Have you ever been completely speechless when you laid eyes on that one painting that moved you to tears? Well, that is what happened to me! I was standing in the middle of the gallery, without words, and moved by one of the most beautiful paintings that I have ever seen. From that moment, I knew I wanted to become an artist.
All of my life, I have been involved with many different art forms, such as musical theatre, playing several musical instruments, and other artistic expressions. Creativity has infiltrated every season of my life and brought me through many difficult times.
Being able to create paintings that reflect who I am and what I love is an amazing blessing. Art is a journey that brings hope to a world where there has been so much uncertainty. Ecclesiastes 3:11 states, "He has made everything beautiful in His time." I believe that art is a tangible gift that will move you, inspire you, and encourage you to look deep within your soul. As Frederick Buechner states, "The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deepest hunger meet." My creative process is mainly in the medium of oils with an impressionistic representation. I am truly honored to create original paintings from the heart using an array of bright, intense colors with a unique palette knife format. I hope you enjoy my paintings, as much as I have creating them!
