Alle Lebewesen brauchen Licht. Als Fotograf ist Licht unerlässlich, um Bilder aufzunehmen. Was hat mich dazu inspiriert, Schmuck zu kreieren? Es begann in jungen Jahren, als ich beim Wandern mit meinen Eltern in den Schweizer Alpen alle möglichen Mineralien sammelte. Das hat mich schon immer fasziniert. Jetzt, ein paar Jahrzehnte später, habe ich mir selbst beigebracht, wie man Schmuck herstellt. Ich kaufte die notwendige Ausrüstung und begann, mit natürlichen Schalen zu arbeiten. Die Möglichkeiten sind endlos und nichts ist gleich. Die Arbeit überwiegend mit Paua-Muscheln ist Magie an sich und die Farben sind einfach schillernd.

All living beings need light. As a photographer light is essential to capture images. What inspired me to create jewellery? It started at a young age when I collected all sorts of minerals while hiking with my parents in the Swiss Alps. It always fascinated me. Now a few decades later I taught myself how to create jewellery. I bought the necessary equipment and started to work with natural shells. Possibilities are endless and nothing is the same. Working predominantly with Paua shells is magic in itself and the colours are simply scintillating.
