The picture is really beautiful and I am very happy about it. Shipping fast without any problems. Thanks!
At this point I would like to introduce myself briefly. I myself always find it interesting to learn something about the artist behind the pictures, and maybe you feel the same way. To satisfy this curiosity, here is some information:
WHO I AM
My name is Mia Steingräber and I have been a freelance illustrator since about 2004. I live with my husband, my two daughters and our cat in a small village in the middle of nowhere. This is also where my workplace is located.
WHAT I DO
Drawing, painting, taking care of my daughters, drawing, painting, taking care of my daughter ... ;-)
HOW I BECAME WHAT I AM
Through a lot of practice! Like most of my colleagues, I have always painted/drawn – incidentally, I have remained true to the traditional techniques "by hand" to this day. When it came to choosing a career at the end of my school years, it was clear to me that I wanted to do something in this direction. However, I never enjoyed an education (which I sometimes regret a little). Although I studied art history (primarily medieval art) for a few semesters, which was very interesting, but had nothing to do with the practical part of the art. When I got my first assignments in the field of illustration (for the role-playing systems LodlanD and Das Schwarze Auge), I decided to drop out of my studies. So far I have not regretted this decision!
WHAT ELSE I WANT TO DO
My dream would be to publish my own ideas/pictures in book form. Since my husband, Tobias Rafael Junge, is an author, we actually have very good conditions to turn this wishful thinking into reality, but so far we have failed with our smaller projects at the publishing world. So it's probably time to keep trying and not letting your head hang.
WHAT I LIKE
The sound of crunching snow or stones under your shoes, going to the cinema, movies in general, reading, music from almost everything, animals (especially cats and frogs), my family, my friends, Scandinavia, the great outdoors and above all pictures, pictures, pictures... I love Art Nouveau, but also various SiFi/fantasy artists (including Larry Elmore, John Howe, Brom), imaginative photographs, old fairy tale pictures, Gil Elvgren, Will Cotton, Waterhouse and many, many more.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Too many people around me, people who treat animals or nature badly, people who do not greet back when you say "hello", too high temperatures, well and much more, which does not need to be explained in more detail here. :-)
I have been a freelance illustrator for role-playing games, children's books, novels, games and all sorts of fantastic things since 2004. In a small village in the middle of nowhere, I paint and draw traditionally with pen, brush and airbrush.

Frequently asked questions
Are the images sensitive to light?
Reproductions - i.e. posters, art prints, etc. - are usually not very squeamish. They can also be hung in direct sunlight. Nevertheless, they naturally fade a little over time. If you want to prevent this, simply avoid direct light. This is especially true for originals that suffer much faster in the sun. And that would be a pity!
